F.A.Q

ANSWERS TO SOME OF THE MOST COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR DESTINATION WEDDING IN THE MEXICO

Q: WHERE SHOULD WE STAY?

We kindly ask that all our guests stay at our host resort Dreams Jade Riviera Cancun. We want our wedding celebration to be a vacation experience for everyone and we'd love to spend some time with you outside the Wedding Day, be that at the pool, or by sharing a few meals and drinks together. We have set aside a block of discounted rooms (minimum 3-night stay) at this resort and we ask that you make your reservation through our travel coordinator MarieSam. If you do not want to stay at the resort, you'll still be able to attend our wedding since it's going to be on a private venue's property. But by not staying at the resort, you won't have access to the resort amenities and may miss out on some group events.

Q: HOW WILL WE TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF THE RESORT?

We will have your transportation to and from the airport through a shuttle system courtesy of our travel agency. We will also have transportation to and from the resort to the wedding venue. But if you plan to travel anywhere else outside of the resort and the airport, we suggest you either rent a car, carpool with other guests, or utilize Tulum's taxi/chauffeur services that the hotel or our agency should be able to arrange for you.

Q: WHEN SHOULD WE ARRIVE?

If you've traveled all this way, we'd love for you to make a vacation out of it and join us as early as possible. Our room block is available as early as April 11 to 16, 2023. And the Wedding Day is on Thursday, April 13th. We recommend that you arrive at least 2 days before the Wedding Day. But please come and stay as long as you'd like. (You are able to come earlier or stay later but our agent will have to request the extended dates - which won't be a problem at all!).

Q: WHAT DO I WEAR TO THE WEDDING?

Q: ARE KIDS INVITED TO THE WEDDING?

Our wedding celebration is strictly teens & adults-only with the exception of children ages 10+ & infants.

You're more than welcome to bring your children to the resort. Though, If you decide to bring your children to Mexico, you can contact the resort and ask about childcare options for the wedding day and other wedding-related gatherings. If your children are between the ages of 2-9, please let us know and we can discuss childcare during the wedding. However, we hope you can take advantage of this and make it a child-free vacation! ;-)

Q: WHAT'S THE WEATHER LIKE? HOW SHOULD WE PACK?

Riviera Cancun, Mexico is typically hot and humid throughout the year -- temperatures are usually in the high 80s to 90s. We recommend bringing light summer clothing and swimsuits. Other helpful essentials include sunblock, water shoes, swim coverups, flip-flops, sunglasses, etc. Think beach vacation with neutral and elegant attire for the Wedding Day and beach chic attire for dinners on the other nights during your stay.
